Like every year we will program a selection of films presented to Cannes. This year's event will be extended with a cycle of the Quinzaine des réalisateurs. Villa Medici will celebrate the policy of discovery and quality that this section of the Cannes Film Festival has always offered to his faithful audience.

CINETECA NAZIONALE CENTRO SPERIMENTALE DI CINEMATOGRAFIA

Inaugurated in 1949, the Cineteca Nazionale safeguards a legacy of more than 60,000 copies of films, both silent and talking, including an important collection of Italian-made films as well as titles that have made a significant contribution to the history of cinema at international levels. The Cineteca is extremely active when it comes to promoting films too – some 1500 showings of Italian and foreign films each year in its “Cinema Trevi” where classic and contemporary films are both on the agenda.
